Seriously?

It's been just about a month since I last blogged?!

So much going on.. so much. First, give your girl a round of applause because I got a raise AND a promotion, holla! More $$$ = More work.

Snappy and I are are FINALLY looking for a house! YES!!! *praise break* If you've been following me for a while, then you know living with my mother (while we saved up..) has been the bane of my existence. Funny thing is, now that we're looking and the thought of not seeing my mom everyday is looming in the near future, I'm kind of sad! I think I'm actually going to miss the old lady! Hmph...

So.. ya'll know I've been #teamnatural for decades.. last week, I decided to press my hair so I could give it a good trim and I wanted to see how long it actually was, since I cut my locs last December.

I totally didn't expect all of the strong opinions folks would have about the difference! Hubby is in LOVE with the straight hair. Typical negro. He gushed how he loved it more than when I had my locs and how he would work into the budget a hair appointment, every two weeks! *gasp* Seriously, dude? He went so far as to say I looked TALLER! [blank stare]

I posted a pic on FB and everyone had a different opinion. Folks didn't like it, they did like and someone thought I looked 'pleasant' (wtf P!!?? lol)

Oh, how do I feel about it? IT AIN'T ME. I think straight hair is typical and it doesn't fit my personality. Will I switch it up from time to time? Yes. But, only because Snappy likes it and marriage is about compromise. [side eye]

Anywho... guess who I'm going to meet in two weeks? Dave! He doesn't know it yet.. but he's going to take me to get some authentic Mambo Sauce action..lol I'll be in D.C. for three glorious, work related, baby & husband free days *sigh*. No cooking dinner, no changing diapers.. just 3 days of take out, hotel showers and an HR seminar.
